Celebrating National Craftsman Day 2024

As part of the celebration of the activities of the National Day of the Craftsman, which falls on (09) November of each year, the Directorate of Tourism and Crafts, in coordination with the Chamber of Crafts and Trades, have drafted a rich program for this important event, in the presence of:

  • Mr. Wali of the Wilaya Chlef.
  • President of the People’s Assembly of the wilaya.
  • Security and military authorities.
  • Some representatives of the National People’s Assembly
  • The local representative of the Ombudsman of the Republic.
  • Head of the District of Chlef.
  • Member of the Higher Council of Youth.
  • Responsible for the management of the commune of Chlef.
  • Media Family

This program represents the following elements :

ORGANIZATION OF A CRAFTS EXHIBITION AT THE HOUSE OF CRAFTS AND TRADES, IN BEN SOUNA:

Where various traditional products were exhibited and promoted, the Wali and his accompanying delegation visited the artisans’ exhibition pavilions, inspected various traditional products and listened to the concerns and aspirations of some of the artisans participating in the exhibition.

ORGANIZATION OF A STUDY DAY ENTITLED ADVANTAGES OF REGISTRATION IN THE REGISTER OF TRADITIONAL INDUSTRIES:

It was at the El Mirador Hotel that Mr. Wali congratulated the artisans and all those active in the sector, appreciating the role of craft activity in local and national development. Representatives of the sector’s partner organizations also spoke: the Crafts Registry Service. , Tax Directorate, National Social Security Fund for Non-Salaried Workers, National Microcredit Management Agency.

Signing of a twinning agreement between the chambers of CRAFTS and METIERS OF THE TWO WILAYAS of Chlef and Tissemsilt:

This is in order to cooperate in several areas (exhibitions, training, …).

HONORS:

Mr. Wali and his accompanying delegation supervised the honoring of the winners of the Best Hotel Service Competition, in addition to honoring the male and female artisans, in appreciation and gratitude for their efforts in preserving traditional crafts, and to encourage them to develop their products to help move the wheel of economic development.
