In commemoration of the 36th anniversary of National Martyrdom Day, which falls on February 18, 2025, the Tourism and Handicrafts Directorate organized a rich program to commemorate this historic day, under the slogan “The martyr is an immortal soul and a pioneering path of loyalty.” This program extended throughout the week, from February 16 to February 22, 2025. Activities included the following:

Organization of an exhibition of traditional industry and crafts in coordination with the Chamber of Traditional Industry and Crafts at the Houses of Traditional Industry and Crafts (Ben Souna and Shatia neighborhoods) throughout the week, from Sunday, February 16, 2025, to February 20, 2025.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Directorate of Tourism and Handicrafts, in coordination with the Gravelo State Youth Association, organized a sightseeing tour that included the following:

• The event departed from the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the municipality of Sinjas, and a minute of silence was observed to show mercy to their pure souls and commemorate their sacrifices.
• Organizing a tourist tour in the Singas region.
• Evaluate the historical tourist circuit of the Hasiba Ben Bouali site in memory of her struggle, with a visit to the martyr’s house in the presence of her cousin, Mrs. Ben Bouali Al-Zahra, and recall her sacrifices and unforgettable revolutionary activity

  

  

  

  

• Display of the contents of Mémoire magazine, issue 3, during the first week of National Martyrs’ Day.
• A cooperation and partnership agreement was signed with the revolutionary family at the Abdelmadjid Meziane National Public Museum on February 16, 2025, in the presence of the Governor of Chlef Province, accompanied by the President of the People’s Assembly of the State, during the school day organized by the State on the occasion of this historic day celebrated annually.

This agreement was concluded between the Directorate of Tourism and Traditional Industry and each of the following entities:

1. The State Office of the National Organization of the Mujahideen
2. The State Office of the National Organization of the Sons of the Martyrs
3. The State Office of the National Organization of the Sons of the Mujahideen

• This agreement served to promote the state’s historical tourist trails on this day, which coincided with the founding of the National Organization of the Sons of the Martyrs, where a lecture was given on the event and several representatives of revolutionary organizations were honored.
  A special tourist orientation accreditation was issued on February 18, 2025, to the Directorate of Tourism and Handicrafts, to Mr. Abdel Haq Najjar.

• Organization of a tourist circuit within the framework of the twinning with the State of Bouira and on the occasion of the World Tourist Orientation Day of February 21, 2025, where the village of Imsdour hosted on February 20-21-22, 2025 the event “Camping and Accommodation with the Resident” under the slogan “Accommodation with the Resident…an innovative formula for tourism promotion”. The visit included: Walking (rondoni).

• Exhibition of olive oil and its derivatives, jewelry, and clothing from the various participating states.
  Presentation of certificates to participating delegations from various states.
• The celebration program received media coverage from the state’s regional radio station and selected newspaper correspondents, in addition to ongoing coverage of the event on the directorate’s official website.
