The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts organized the:

“INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND TRAVEL FAIR 2024 SITEV”

at the central pavilion of the Palais des Expositions – Pins de la Mer – Algeria in its 23rd edition for a duration of 04 four days, from May 30 to June. 2, 2024.
The tourism and handicrafts sector of the Wilaya of Chlef participated, with four (04) pavilions at the show:

A. SHARED SUITE INCLUDED:

01. AN EXHIBITION SPACE FOR THE DIRECTORATE OF TOURISM AND HANDICRAFTS OF THE WILAYA OF CHLEF:

• A presentation of the digital tourist guide for the Directorate of Tourism and Handicrafts of the Wilaya of Chlef.
• Display of brochures including an introduction to the tourist qualifications of the Wilaya.
• Projection of videos of tourist attractions in the Wilaya.
• Presentation of models of state-specific art craft products

02. AN EXHIBITION SPACE DEDICATED TO HANDICRAFT PRODUCTS:

• Presentation of traditional products by a craftsman specializing in pottery, Mr. Naqaz Muhammad.
• A live workshop on the manufacture of a traditional product, as it was aimed more at the group of children, on the occasion of Children’s Day, which falls on June 1, 2024. It was followed by an influx and a grand reception at the pavilion.

03. AN EXHIBITION SPACE FOR THE GRAND BLEU ASSOCIATION FOR DIVING IN THE COMMUNE OF BENI HAWA:

• Display of brochures presenting the activities of the association.
• Projection of videos presenting the activities of the association.
• Display of brochures presenting the activities of the association

– The pavilion saw a significant and notable participation of visitors, spectators and exhibitors at the show, as well as foreign nationalities, owners of hotel establishments, owners of tourist agencies, project owners, holiday enthusiasts, media professionals and university students. ..) during the four (4) days where all the explanations were provided on the diversity of the tourist offer that the state of Chlef abounds with.

– We also note, in the same context, the inspection of the pavilion by the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, where he gave full explanations on the tourist activity in the wilaya and the approach adopted by the Directorate to develop the sector in the wilaya, noted the efforts made, particularly in the development of 40 tourist circuits, which allowed the Directorate to take the lead in the Wilayas in terms of thematic tourist circuits.

– The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts also gave guidance on the need to support investors in the tourism sector in order to monitor their tourism projects and identify the obstacles and problems they face, such as the Qaddar brothers tourist village project in the commune of Beni Hawa.

– Small working sessions were also held with some concessionaires, particularly concerning tourist exchanges between the northern and southern wilayas.
– In the same context, the Directorate pavilion received the visit of the Minister of Culture and Arts, who blessed the work carried out in the wilaya of Chlef in terms of cultural circuits, which, as the Minister stated, would give a strong boost to the development of the cultural importance and tourist components of the wilaya.

B. A SPECIAL SUITE FOR THE TOURIST COMPLEX “DAR AL-IKRAM”:

The various hotel services offered by the complex were presented, in addition to the project of the institution located in Oued El Melh, which represents the realization of a hotel accommodation whose completion rate is 60%.

C. A SPECIAL PAVILION FOR THE TOURIST INVESTMENT PROJECT, HOLIDAY VILLAGE “LAR-CASTELLIUM” IN BENI HAWA:

Their products and services were presented in this project, which is at a very advanced stage of completion and will open its doors to customers and vacationers at the end of July. An advertising video was shown on all the services provided and scheduled. received the visit of the Minister, who expressed his appreciation for this type of projects, urging the investor to speed up the completion of the procedures for obtaining an operating license. In this regard, the Minister gave his instructions on the need for good support. the investor in order to allow him to enter the field of exploitation during this season, indicating coordination with the authorities to develop a field visit program to inspect the projects under construction in the wilaya of Chlef.

D. A SPECIAL FOLLOW-UP FOR TOURISM AGENCIES:

It was known that some of the tourist agencies active in the wilaya of Chlef were participating, and brochures and information on the agency’s activity and the services provided were displayed.

MEDIA ASPECT:

As part of the participation in the fair, several interventions were made at the level of different media bodies.

THE ACADEMIC ASPECT:

On the sidelines of the fair, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts supervised the activities of the school day, entitled Tourist Investment, where several interventions were made by experts and traders. These interventions were supplemented by the enrichment of the discussion and the presentation of the experiences carried out. by the Directorate in monitoring tourism projects, resolving difficulties and supporting investors, all in order to stimulate tourism activity in the wilaya.
