In the year two thousand and twenty-four, and on the days of the twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth of December , the Directorate of Tourism and Crafts participated in the organization of an introductory course to the wooden badge bearing the name of “The late Maammar Bouchama at the youth hostel in the commune of Tenes.

This introductory course to the wooden badge saw various activities take place over three (03) days, including:

At the initiative of veterans of the Algerian Islamic Scouts – provincial governorate of the wilaya of Chlef and within the framework of the partnership and cooperation agreement concluded between the two parties, the Directorate of Tourism and Handicrafts participated in the process of organizing an introductory course to the wooden badge bearing the name of “The late Maammar Bouchama” at the youth hostel of the commune of Tenes and which included a rich program and several themes, including the following:

ORGANIZATION:

• With the contribution of: the Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Culture and Arts.
• Number of participants: 75 participants, supervisors and observers.
• Accommodation: “A’rab Ahmed” Youth Camp in the commune of Tenes.

FIRST DAY: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2025

The process of welcoming participants (opening + division of the vanguards) and opening the course.
(03) Three theoretical training sessions:

1. The ceremony included the raising and lowering of the flag.
2. Unit management and survey system.
3. The history of the scout movement on a world and national scale

SECOND DAY: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2025

Organize 08 training sessions, including:

1. Foundations and principles of the scout movement.
2. The role, tasks and needs of the unit commander.
3. Volunteering and citizenship.
4. Types of meetings, their goals, objectives and content.
5. Tourism, tourism and its objectives.
6. Map of the leadership advancement system.
7. The brown scout.
8. exam.

The Director of Tourism intervened in the training session “Volunteering and Citizenship”, during which he highlighted the role of scout work and its contribution to instilling the spirit of citizenship and its positive impact on society and the citizen.

In addition to the workshops, the “Tourism and Scout” workshop was organized by one of the scout leaders, as well as under the direction of the Director of Tourism and Crafts. Where was the announcement of the birth of a branch of the Sea Scouts in the city of Tenes, which is considered the fifth regiment at the national level, and which in turn will take care of all volunteer work in the maritime field. could the activities of this regiment be exploited in tourist events, especially during the summer season.

THIRD DAY: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2025

Organization of a visit to the tourist site “Taragniya Cascade” in the municipality of Tenes, examination of the attractiveness of the view and provision of complete explanations. At the same time, a site cleaning operation was organized.
The closing ceremony was an opportunity to pay tribute to the trainees and the family of the scout leader, who gave the name to the course “Maammar Boushama”, as well as to those who contributed to the success of this training course.

Finally, this training benefited from media coverage from some television channels and was also used by the tourism sector to promote the tourist site “Traghniah Cascade” which is part of the tourist routes of the wilaya.
